Wow... first post. Where to begin? If you asked me 10 years ago "what I would be doing at this moment?" I would've never said this in a million years. I sort of stumbled into the baking world. It's not like I ever made anything before... Duncan Hines box mix brownies or blueberry muffins were my favorites. But one faithful day a few years ago, my wife wanted to eat Red Velvet cake for her birthday. She really loved Red Velvet & I felt that if I tried to make it for her it would be all the more special. At this point, I had never eaten Red Velvet before and I heard that it was a tricky cake to get right. So with little knowledge and a whole bunch of courage I set off to bake a Red Velvet cake from scratch. Looking through a bunch of recipes I noticed figured out the basic ingredients in the cake and from there I just experimented till I got what I thought was the right combination. Then, I had to give it to her for the official taste test. Thinking that "Hey, if it sucks at least she give me credit for trying." Then I heard the verdict... She said it was delicious and I was completely shocked. I thought that she was joking for sure. Feeling a little confident from my success, I let a few other people try it & they all said the same thing. So from that point on I decided that I should give baking a try. 5 years later, I now embark on this new journey. I know that trying to start my own business will be a tough journey, but it is one I feel ready for. Thank you to everyone has encouraged me through the years. Without all you taste testers, none of this would be possible.
